PhD Thesis on: Identification for control for systems with static nonlinearity

ثبت نشده
چکیده

Scientific background Most of modern engineering systems are (to some extent) nonlinear. To fully optimize the performance of control systems as required by modern industry, this nonlinear behavior can no longer be neglected. This raises a number of challenging issues for the identification (data-based modeling) and the control of those systems. This is fully recognized by the research theme ‘nonlinear performance’’ of the M1 priority at the Ampère lab. The proposed PhD project aims to develop a joint identification and control methodology to appropriately model and control a particular, but nevertheless important class of nonlinear systems: the systems with static nonlinearities.

Friction Compensation for Dynamic and Static Models Using Nonlinear Adaptive Optimal Technique

Friction is a nonlinear phenomenon which has destructive effects on performance of control systems. To obviate these effects, friction compensation is an effectual solution. In this paper, an adaptive technique is proposed in order to eliminate limit cycles as one of the undesired behaviors due to presence of friction in control systems which happen frequently. The proposed approach works for n...

Fault Detection Based on Type 2 Fuzzy system for Single-Rod Electrohydraulic Actuator

Electro-hydraulic systems with regards to the their specific features and applications among other industrial systems including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, have been widely taken into consideration by the scientists and researchers. Due to the fact that the electro-hydraulic system is inherently a nonlinear system, has some problems such as signals saturation, nonlinear effici...

Identification of parallel Wiener-Hammerstein systems with a decoupled static nonlinearity ?

Block-oriented models are often used to model a nonlinear system. This paper presents an identification method for parallel Wiener-Hammerstein systems, where the obtained model has a decoupled static nonlinear block. This decoupled nature makes the interpretation of the obtained model more easy. First a coupled parallel Wiener-Hammerstein model is estimated. Next, the static nonlinearity is dec...

Research as transition instrument: A phenomenological investigation of future image in Ph.D. thesis writing

This research has been done to investigate Shiraz university doctoral students’ perspectives on thesis writing. Required data has been gathered by using deep interviews with eight doctoral students. Based on an abductive research strategy and using interpretative phenomenology, the research findings show a Ph.D. thesis doesn’t have a place in the big picture of their life. Themes abstracted fro...

A Blind Approach to Identification of Hammerstein Systems

Hammerstein systems form a class of block-oriented nonlinear models, where a static nonlinearity precedes a linear dynamic system. There exist a large number of works on the topic of identification of Hammerstein systems in the literature. The methods of Hammerstein identification can be classified as the ten methods in Section 3.9 of [7] or the four groups in Chapter 1 of [8]. This chapter foc...
